Unfortunately, the air con kept leaking through the ceiling despite maintenance attending, and when we got back after 8 hours, our room wasnt serviced and the claim of the leak being fixed was unfounded, resulting in a room move.

Our first night was in a nhow Suite following a Platinum upgrade, set into the corner of the building its weird angles have been very well designed around, providing a tight yet contemporary room and good sized bathroom. The service was prompt and friendly and the coffee was good, but the food could only be described as adequate and until the full restaurant opens it might be best to try out some of the many fantastic brunch options available around Islington, Old Street and Shoreditch. While Im still not convinced by baths in bedrooms, I liked this set-up where the bath is clearly in the bathroom area so you can have your privacy if you want (theres a curtain you can draw across) but its also perfectly romantic if you like to hop between the bed and the bath. The rooms looked just like the pictures on Expedia. As youd expect, I mentioned this to the hotel, and they now say that the problems have been addressed and so neither is currently the case January 5, 2022. The other issue, and theres no good way of putting this, is the ground floor where the bar and reception is a quite noticeable smell of drains. This isnt a problem since there are plenty of tables, but the menu is very limited, and for vegetarian food it is pretty much a case of asking for certain items and then the kitchen omits the meat, fish, or, if vegan, the cheese from that dish. Immediately inside theres a small hallway and guest loo very civilised and then on opening the main door to the suite you are greeted with a seemingly vast amount of green carpet, styled (I assume) to look like grass on an open terrace. While central London is still fairly quiet, the steady stream of guests checking in and out showed that nhow had certainly found its audience, but I was checked in quickly and shown to my room by guest manager Aleks. All of these are in the angled pointe of the building, and so have views across City Road and onto Macclesfield Road, though this is simply across to another block of what I think is student accommodation. The staff were friendly and had a smile on their face, and the bar staff were fun and helpful. Our first night was in a nhow Suite following a Platinum upgrade, set into the corner of the building its weird angles have been very well designed around, providing a tight yet contemporary room and good sized bathroom. The service was prompt and friendly and the coffee was good, but the food could only be described as adequate and until the full restaurant opens it might be best to try out some of the many fantastic brunch options available around Islington, Old Street and Shoreditch. While Im still not convinced by baths in bedrooms, I liked this set-up where the bath is clearly in the bathroom area so you can have your privacy if you want (theres a curtain you can draw across) but its also perfectly romantic if you like to hop between the bed and the bath. The rooms looked just like the pictures on Expedia. As youd expect, I mentioned this to the hotel, and they now say that the problems have been addressed and so neither is currently the case January 5, 2022. Theres also some extremely green conference rooms, known as labs, with fun touches such as a working old-style Space Invaders machine. Rooms are fab, love the design - all about London. There are no major shops or restaurants nearby, and provides a great base to see the real side of East London if you enjoy walking, but is not near any major tourist attractions or points of interest. Great visit, the hotel is very nice and the reception team were very helpful. There is a limited bar menu access from the now familiar QR codes on the table and again, the staff couldnt be more polite and helpful if they tried. The interior design of the lobby, hallways, and rooms was really unique and added to the experience. The staff were so helpful and friendly. It does take a little longer to get to the main tourist attractions but with bus and tube lines nearby it was never an issue. Really trendy hotel. The other issue, and theres no good way of putting this, is the ground floor where the bar and reception is a quite noticeable smell of drains. This isnt a problem since there are plenty of tables, but the menu is very limited, and for vegetarian food it is pretty much a case of asking for certain items and then the kitchen omits the meat, fish, or, if vegan, the cheese from that dish. The customer service experience was outstanding they were more than accommodating even when it came to specific requests. Immediately inside theres a small hallway and guest loo very civilised and then on opening the main door to the suite you are greeted with a seemingly vast amount of green carpet, styled (I assume) to look like grass on an open terrace. While central London is still fairly quiet, the steady stream of guests checking in and out showed that nhow had certainly found its audience, but I was checked in quickly and shown to my room by guest manager Aleks.
