If your perfume does expire, applying it could result in an unpleasant smell, skin irritations orin extreme casesan allergic reaction. In 4 years I never got 1 compliment. Sillage is great. Definitely a good blind buy, but there are other fragrances out there that work just as good or better and are more interesting.

Vintage fragrances often do not have batch codes at all. I've been a fan of Johnny Depp for the longest time and I would've anyway got this one, lol. 4 hours is the normal projection and the perfume is there as a skin scent for the rest of the time before evaporating. A bottle is either used up or thrown away once it has been opened. Eau de toilette doesnt last too long. I love both but prefer the edp. It smells more sophisticated than the original Sauvage. An ambroxan bomb to my nose, a nondescript airy sweetness, accented with small touches of lavender, citrus, and spices. Skin longevity is very interesting as it is also determined by the concentration of the fragrance oils. I didn't find much of a difference between the EDT, maybe the EDP is a tad less sweet? I don't suggest this for summer because the starring accords are pepper and ambrox so maybe this will be a little oppressive for the season. Over the past week Ive mever gotten SO MANY compliments. This is the Sauvage to get other than Elixir. The sweetness on this one gives me a headache. Perhaps Ill grow to love this too. A Lavender/Ambroxan bomb. 
What a waste of money. While eau de toilette has a shorter shelf life, eau de parfum lasts up to three times as long. Commercial cologne lasts anywhere between 3 and 5 years before it starts to darken, deteriorate, or evaporate. Summer perfumes or scents with citruses tend not to last as long. Projection is great, perfect for going out. More manly I think then the original EDT version and more mature too. Can You Use 60V Dewalt Battery On 20V Tool? Now the Elixir on the other hand Well thats like a huge leap from here to the moon. I don't usually like star anise as it can be too licorice-like, and I'm picky about nutmeg as a note. In the first 20 minutes you can smell the bergamot with pepper but it isn't as loud as the EDT. And wear in an open air environment for best effect. Intensity.
