One thing I don't get. I start by setting the faceplate on the outside of the wall in the exact location I want the skimmer to be. 
How can I fix this quickly, easily and cheaply? 
Anyone else care to offer their opinions? I'm assuming it aids in pulling debris in but offers not much more skimming action correct?
