I would love to take a fantasy voyage to Vietnam. I was struck by how Despinas review paid attention to the notes that are apparently patented by Givaudan, which gave an interesting sense of some of the tools that contemporary perfumers work with.
So far, Ive only tried Divine Vanille from their lineup, and it was an absolute banger.

Despinas article on Bois Imperial by Essential parfums is engaging and informative. Never tried anything from this house, but the combination of basil, pepper, patchouli and vetiver sounds quite exotic to my nose. The words of Mr. Bisch freshly crushed black pepper and wet forest soil; woodiness and earthiness with vetiver and with main patchouli note sound so beautiful and intrigued.

I live in the EU and would love to try Bois Imperial as my first Essential Parfums experience. Im intrigued by the Akigalawood note and have also been eyeing Ganymede. Wearing it as I write this. The opening is not really convincing as expected based on what I gathered from reviews but after Dry down the real beast showed its true power. Thanks for the article and the chance! I was interested in Geraldine Archambaults personal connection to the fragrance and how Bisch was able to realize her vision. I thought the way she displayed the man standing in the suit and it being in the Pefrumed River was fantastic!! I love finding out about the parts that are used to make perfumes so this is a fantastic, I can try and get my hands on some of them to learn more of what smells like what. I am not very open to write reviews as I do not own the gift of words but I received today this Bois Imperial, due to the hype around it and also because I am a BIG fan of Marc Antoine Barrois (specially B683 and also its Extrait) and a Quentin Bisch gruppy XDD so I could not help coming to Parfumo to share my happyness. I really enjoyed how Despina described the scent and provided the inspiration for the fragrance, it really brought it alive. Thank you! So far, Ive tried none from their lineup, pffft. I think it mixes beautifully with patchouli, and Desperate na does a great job of exploring this fragrance. US. Its unique spicy-woody character is enhanced by a rich Indonesian Patchouli oil and a powerful, sustainable note of Ambrofix. I own Divine Vanille. Love the vetiver note in this composition--a smooth vetiver like I find in Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver, edp. Bois Imperial sounds like a great alternative. With these ingredients, it seems this would lend itself to being a unisex scent. I love the image of a man in a clean cut sit in his floating home. Havent yet tried any Essential Parfums, but certainly interested.
