They are dont often cross thread when you connect them. And yes I have to agreeI have noticed that some of Wiltons tips differ even though they are marked the same size. I have Beckenal icing nozzles ~ trust me this is the best.. they are narrow and longer and a pleasure to use in re usable piping bags.. hard to find for sure!! This is such a cool post. The tips are smaller in diameter at the big opening, therefore, will not fit on a Wilton coupler, but you can adapt by putting the Bekenal tip into a Wilton #12 and then onto the coupler for a quick use. With its small-notched tip, you can quickly add ruffled leaves to your rosettes or buttercream flowers. Would you believe an Ateco #1 is actually bigger than a Wilton #2? To create delicate ruffles and petals with a defined structure, make sure the wider end is the closest to your cake, and the thinner end faces upwards.
