I really like this. Persolaise.com features reviews of perfumes, interviews with fragrance industry figures and general articles related to the world of scent. What sets the Night Veils releases apart is they are much more compact. Sleek modern Oriental that showcases a nice refined tobacco note. When they want to color outside the lines their recourse is to release a new collection.
Its quite nice. At night, however, femmes and hommes "fatals", surrounded by tobacco smoke and leather, dominate the cityscape. Smelt this today for the first time. The juxtaposition in the opening is a masterpiece.

Byredo Tobacco Mandarin fragrance sampleis a hand-decanted sample. You know, I'm not sure what I thought this would smell like before I smelled it, but it is an amazing cumin bomb on the open, and that lasts a good while. I love the color of the juice, will sniff it just for that lol. Tobacco Mandarin by Byredo is a Amber Woody fragrance for women and men. This, however, is very thick dark oud heavy fragrance. Id been testing all day and I cant deny that I was suffering somewhat from olfactory fatigue if Im perfectly honest but when I got my nose on this one, I definitely perked up.

Replies to my comments I get a sweetness and a sort of zing from the Mandarin of the tail end of the sniff that I take. More smoke than tobacco, and I also get a floral note that gives this a slightly unisex edge.
I primarily get tobacco, mandarin and cumin, a note I usually hate but here it works perfectly.
