If it were me I might consider a quality used one before new. For the latter, I will be using annular cutters from time to time for <3/8" steel. I dont know if the new ones are different.

I agree on benchtop, and on wide throat.
I know it is a watered down version of the Voyager but its specs., size and features are exactly what I'm after. It can however, be circumvented for those home users that prefer no guard. Have a Delta benchtop model (DP-350) and can't wait to get rid of it. I have looked at the nova products and while impressive, I am concerned in part about their longevity (I have not found many posts online about them after long-term use) and the price (Voyager being a bit of a budget stretch). router I suspect it's a manufacturers promotion.
